Which would you pick? I think I'll go with the red tunic/gray skirt & yellow feather in my proper hat? I see some costumes on the horizon... I just can't help myself.
My oldest daughter was born on October 31 but it's my youngest daughter who goes nuts about costumes every year at this time. I have never been a seamstress. Yes, I took lessons in school and my sweet grandmother and mother patiently tried to teach me but I don't know what to say, it's not my talent. I have others, but not sewing. All costumes in my family have been made by my mom or my oldest daughter! I can't wait to see what you stitch up! I rather like the hat with the yellow feather! Have fun planning!
For you or the boys? I'm not into costumes myself, but my kids love to dress up! What a fun way to bring history to life. Just today my girls found my mom's pioneer dresses. She used to voluneteer at a local historical museum and every year at Christmas we'd dress up like pioneers and hang out in the pioneer village serving apple cider to folks. Good times.
The boys have knight cosutumes(what else would they want to be! haha.) but I'm thinking of working on one for me. My husband(if you can believe it) is going to want one to. We don't have formal plans to go to a renaissance fair, but there will be one for Jack's school as this is the time period they are studying through out the year. (it's his one day school).
