Thank you, Jim Weiss & Susan Wise Bauer

To say this has been a rough move is an understatment. Tidal wave, tsunami, hurricane like change. Unexpected emotions, obstacles, and that dirth of void that follows where there was once, even, too much 'to do'. Oh we're busy, that's for sure. Watching the plants in the garden 'cook'. (I feel like I'm hydroponic gardening--on accident). Busy ignoring the plastic pool, busy standing in front of the fridge wondering if any new food has grown in there. Busy trying to find that lost piece of paper that you notice being torn to shreds & eaten by Henry. Busy retrieving phonics practice cards stolen from their safe spot, while I'm changing the laundry.
Enter 2 very welcome guests. Jim & Susan ride with us everywhere now. If you've explored or are currently using Susan Wise Bauer's 'The Story of the World' you can appreciate what a great foundation this is just in the reading & workbooks. But we've needed some assistance. The cd's of the books are just the ticket for our long car rides. Oh we've been listening to many, many 'Rabbit Ear's' stories, but SOW is what I need to be reading to him. So in good measure, he's hearing it.
We were also blessed by my friend Leslie with a precious gift of cd. The Chronicles of Narnia - the dramatic version. Oh my-- these are wonderful. and inspiring. Jack was playing 'The Boy and the Horse' today. Can you imagine what went through his mind???
We're narrowing the house search. Our digs are temporary, and the months are flying by.

Love SOW!! Just started the CD's with the kids. We went back to the beginning with the CD's to catch up. We are all enjoying it!
My kids also loved all the Narnia books at Jack's age! That was their nighttime after dinner time with Daddy...him reading the entire series. They would beg for more!! Love it!
Thinking about you in your housesearch hope you find something that thrills you and has everything that you wish for!!
