I'm continuing in my effort for options for better food for our family. We continue
to eat whole wheat bread from Our Daily Bread because I'm just not in a place to make it right now.
But I came upon this article about breads. The title attracted me because it said it was easy. I'm still not sure these are top quality (no offense) because they are not entirely whole wheat. But for now I may try to adapt the recipe because of their simple process to make. I'm also going to try that recipe Rachel sent me for the bread she's using.

Laura,
My mouth is watering for warm fresh baked bread right now! I read the article and plan to try this recipe. I like to bake bread but usually do it in my bread machine. This does look easy.
Have a lovely weekend.

Laura, I've tried this kind of bread before and it's great- we mostly used it for panini sandwiches with pesto, tomato and mozzarella- yum! Artisan Bread In Five Minutes a Day is on my birthday wish list- I want to learn more, too!
Oh, how funny - Just this afternoon I had my first attempt at making bread. I'll have to check out your links. I'm definitely not a natural. : )
I have this cookbook! I use the pizza dough recipe often, but would like to try the others. Perhaps we can make a batch and try it out on the boys?
We're back in town and after recovering this weekend, look forward to seeing you guys soon!
Hey Laura,
Excited to see you have a blog I can follow. I didn't know you were homeschooling the boys! We are homeschooling ours and loving it. Miss you all.

Hey I have this book!! I started with it. But like you all the white breads weren't fully what I was wanting and I just could not get the free form thing down very well. Not for daily use for sandwiches and such I mean. It was great taste wise though!!
There is a new one though I wish I had that is "Healthy Bread in 5 min a day" my sister got that one.Wish I had it because I do LOVE the concept and the recipes. It works well. you will need a few other things. I got my container from king arthur flour's website and it works great. I still use it. It really is a GREAT concept and the recipes taste really good!!! I need to pull it out to try a few more things I've been wanting to do!!!
overall it showed me that breadbaking doesn't have to take ages and isn't the total science I had decided it was an I was incapable of...ha ha!! I learned quite a bit from it as far as the basics which are really helpful!! still learning here though!!
Laura, I though I'd answer your bread question from my post over here too... the book is humorously titled No More Bricks! and can be found at Amazon. She also has (or had) a helpful website, but it seems she just redid the website this weekend and now I can't access any of the information, lol. I'm sure it's just temporary. Just google the book title and the first couple of links should be the amazon listing and her website. Hope that helps!
